I Am Not a Robot by Marina and the Diamonds
You've been acting awful tough lately
Smoking a lot of cigarettes lately
But inside, you're just a little baby
It's okay to say you've got a weak spot
You don't always have to be on top
Better to be hated than love, love, loved for what you're not
You're vulnerable, you're vulnerable
You are not a robot
You're lovable, so lovable
But you're just troubled
Guess what? I'm not a robot, a robot
Guess what? I'm not a robot, a robot
You've been hanging with the unloved kids
Who you never really liked and you never trusted
But you are so magnetic, you pick up all the pins
Never committing to anything
You don't pick up the phone when it ring, ring, rings
Don't be so pathetic, just open up and sing
I'm vulnerable, I'm vulnerable
I am not a robot
You're lovable, so lovable
But you're just troubled
Guess what? I'm not a robot, a robot
Guess what? I'm not a robot, a robot
Can you teach me how to feel real?
Can you turn my power off?
And let the drum beat drop
Guess what? I'm not a robot [x2]
Guess what? I'm not a robot, a robot [x4]

Movie
This clip is from the movie "Bridge to Terabithia." The student, Leslie, states that she does not have a TV. Subsequently, her classmates laugh about it. Leslie makes it clear that she does not care about the fact that she is missing an item so commonly found in other people's homes. Leslie exemplifies non-conformity because she rejects the stereotype that children waste the day watching TV.
"Bridge to Terabithia" is a movie based off of the book written by Katherine Paterson. A young boy named Jess Aarons befriends the new girl, Leslie Burke. Leslie is different from the other kids because she spends time playing outside and using her imagination to create fictional worlds. Leslie shows Jess that life can be a lot more than he originally thought. Life is great for Leslie and Jess until a horrible tragedy changes everything.

I think this cartoon illustrates Transcendentalism because the philosophy is all about self-reliance and focusing on the individual. The Transcendentalists believed that you should not conform to what others are doing, along with having confidence in yourself. This pictures shows a man taking time to reflect on himself and truly understand his personality.
